BIOLuM is a research support unit that plays a central role in facilitating the activities of its constituent research units. It ensures efficient administrative management and oversees human and financial resources for shared services such as the IT service (SI3C2) and the SALT logistics/workshop service.
BIOLuM also coordinates shared maintenance contracts and provides administrative support for scientific events, contributing to a smooth and effective working environment for research teams.


Informatique (SI3C2)
The Shared IT Service (SI3C2) is responsible for the operation and delivery of the information systems of the following units: CEMIPAI, CRBM, IGMM, and IRIM; four hosted BioCampus platforms (MGC-CRBM, MRI-CRBM, RAM-IGMM, and ZEFIX-CRBM); two hosted companies, MT-Act and Abivax; as well as the isolated IT network of MRI.
SI3C2 supports more than 500 users and manages over 900 active components, including 70 servers, a computing cluster, more than 1 petabyte of data, and two Restricted Access Areas (ZRR).
As part of BIOLuM, the IT service provides high-level technical support to ensure the reliable operation of technological tools and infrastructures, covering user support as well as network and systems management.
Service d’Appui Logistique et Technique (SALT)
The SALT service is equipped to provide tailored technical and logistical support to the units and coordinates the activities of external companies responsible for the maintenance and servicing of buildings and scientific equipment.
Our specialized technicians support the design and fabrication of custom components, equipment maintenance, and the implementation of complex technical projects.
